About Us

Karma Seas CIC was set up in response to a lack of diversity, inclusion, accessibility and affordability in sports, particularly surfing and other therapeutic beach activities.

With backgrounds in Health and Social Care, Ocean Safety and both adaptive and mainstream Surf instructing, we specialise in delivering group and individual surf lessons to children and adults who are excluded by social and economic barriers. Our goal is to make ocean-based activity accessible to everyone.

Our participants currently include people with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, autism and asperger's, mental health problems, cognitive difficulties, medical conditions or illness, older people, women, LGBT+ and other minority groups.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we aim to make surfing accessible through affordability and providing a safe and inclusive environment where people feel welcome, can build friendships, have fun and learn at their own pace.
